KATHMANDU, Oct 7: A five-year-old boy from Dhanusha, Janakpur, was raped and brutally killed by one of his relatives. According to police, the rare kind of case came to their notice after the locals of Kisanpur village, where the incident took place, informed the authorities.
“It is a rare kind of incident. I’m not sure how many such cases have happened so far in the country, but it is the first such case in Dhanusha,” said chief of Dhanusha Police Office, Superintendent of Police, Ramesh Kumar Basent.
On Thursday, the boy’s relative Ram Bahadur Sada, 22, asked the boy to go fishing with him. But Sada raped the boy and strangled him to death.

“He then left the body there and went home alone. The boy’s family got anxious and a search began. The next day, some locals spotted the dead body and informed us,” SP Basnet said.
The police checked the body and it was apparent the boy had been raped. The dead body has been sent to Janakpur provincial hospital while Sada is in police custody.
“First he (Sada) confessed to have killed him, but he had not spoken of the sexual violence. After long interrogation he accepted that too,” said SP Basnet, adding that further investigation into the case is underway.
Sada, also a local of Dhanusha, married a girl from Kisanpur village two years ago. His wife is seven-month pregnant.
