Moktan of Prabhu Finance stopped the tournament run of a spirited Binaya Kumar Regmi, AGM of Nabil Bank in the round of 16. Moktan entered the quarterfinals with a 90-29, 35-69, 82-35 victory.[break]
NMB Bank´s senior officer Sainju defeated Kishor Bhattarai of Himalayan Brewery in straight frames in their round of 16 match played at the Corner Bar of Hotel Radisson. Sainju won the match 86-9, 85-46.
Khadka, a banker from Mega Bank, eased past Nanda Maharjan, marketing officer of Image Channel, 86-23, 54-34.
Likewise, Himalayan Bank officer Singh beat Shanker Group´s Executive Director Shahil Agrawal 73-48, 112-16, while Deputy Manager of Bank of Kathmandu Chand defeated Sajeeb Rajbanshi of Prabhu Finance 65-34, 5-68, 92-2.
Earlier, Ummeed Shrestha of Kumari Bank and Rajkamal Basnet of Standard Chartered advanced into the round of 16 after winning their respective first round matches. Shrestha defeated Shiva Pyakurel of Shanker Group 73-11, 70-20 while Basnet beat Rajendra Devkota of Kumari Bank 39-33, 90-19.
Altogether 32 players from different corporate houses, banks, financial institutions, hospitality industry, NGOs, INGOs and media houses are participating in the six-day event organized by Nepal Republic Media in association with Hotel Radisson.
Billiards Snooker & Pool Association of Nepal (BSPAN) and Photo Concern are supporting the event while Image Channel and Friday magazine are the media partners.
