Five security posts in Dolakha soon: Envoy

CHARIKOT, May 22: Chinese ambassador to Nepal Qiu Guohong has said Nepal can be an important trading route between China and South Asia and that the Chinese government is committed to help Nepal toward this end.



Guohong, who reached Dolakha on Friday, informed that China is assisting Nepal to set up five security posts along the Nepal-Tibet border. He also said that China will assist in the construction of connecting road from Lamabagar post in Dolakha district to Phalak in Tibet.



The ambassador, who came to Dolakha to hand over computer sets to Kalinag School in Sunkhani VDC, also informed that the Chinese government is mulling over a special program for Nepal´s economic development.



Stating that China is for peace, political stability and prosperity in Nepal, the envoy said China is ready to help connect Nepal with Tibetan railway.



Guohong said the issue of illegal entry of Tibetans to Nepal is a mater of concern to China. In this regard, he met with security officials in Dolakha on Friday and held consultations.
