KASKI, May 15: Five people were injured in an attack by a leopard at the Tibetan refugee camp in Hemja, Kaski district, Friday morning.
Among the injured, one Tashi Lama has sustained deep wound in his head.
The injured are undergoing treatment at local Manipal Teaching Hospital.
According to eye-witness accounts, a leopard that entered into the camp at six in the morning began attacking people.
The locals informed the police only after locking the beast inside a toilet.

It is learnt that the leopard was first seen in the camp at 5:30 am and it ran away after people chased it. But it made a come back after half an hour and began attacking people.
The leopard was killed with orders from the District Administration Office, police said. It was shot dead by police sharpshooters.
