KATHMANDU, Aug 28: Five boys have died after drowning in puddle in Kanchanpur and Chitwan districts on Friday.
Three boys of Pipladi VDC-9 in Kanchanpur died after drowning in a puddle on Friday evening. The deceased are seven-year-old Pravin Bhatta, eight-year-old Prakash Luhar and nine-year-old Prem Luhar.
In eastern Chitwan, two siblings drowned in a puddle on Friday. Danjubhai and Abhaya Tiwari, aged 10 and 8, respectively, died after they drowned in the puddle in a paddy field. According to the locals, the two who went to play in the field were found dead in the puddle.
