Five doctors at Lumbini hospital dismissed for not attending to their routine duties

BUTWAL, April 8: Five doctors affiliated to Butwal-based Lumbini Provincial Hospital have been dismissed for not attending to their route duties.

BUTWAL, April 8: Five doctors affiliated to Butwal-based Lumbini Provincial Hospital have been dismissed for not attending to their route duties.


The hospital administration said today that the doctors faced action for their deliberate absence as the entire country is undergoing through health crisis due to coronavirus. The doctors were working on a contract basis.

The state-owned hospital decided to sack its doctors as instructed by the Ministry of Social Development under Province 5 government.  


A doctor at the emergency unit, a surgeon, another from ENT unit and two doctors at the radiology department were relieved from their duties, the hospital said.
