Those arrested are Minram Gurung, Kami Tamang, Bijay Gurung, Sante Lama and Thaman Singh Ghale of Shera, Nauthar-2.
The group had attacked Dammardhwaj Sedhai, 65, and his son, Haribabu Sedhai, of Ramchowk, Chiti-7 with khukuris on Monday night. The father-son duo is receiving treatment at the District Community Hospital in Lamjung.
Police said search for the other assaulters is on.
