First passenger bus in Bajhang

DHANGADHI, Sept 16: Two passenger buses drove to a village near Bajhang´s headquarters for the first time on Tuesday. Euphoric locals greeted the buses and drivers with vermilion and garlands. [break]



Two buses (Na 2 Kha 8060 and Na 3 Kha 8068) reached Simkhet village where the Bajhang DDC and local trade associations felicitated the drivers.



Three-kilometer section of the road is yet to be built to complete the construction of the 108-kilometer Jayaprithvi Bahadur Singh Highway the construction of which began 28 years ago.



The district headquarters is a mere five-minute walk from Simkhet. The headquarters will be connected with the road once a bridge is built at Bahuligadhi.
