KATHMANDU, April 1: Swami Anand Arun inaugurated a death park having his own statue at Osho Upaban in Pokhara on Saturday giving a symbolic meaning that death is inevitable.
The Osho Upaban has claimed that the park is the world's first death park, which was constructed with the aim to make the visitors aware that death is the only truth.
According to the park management, the park features Swami Anand Arun's statue as well as his bust on a funeral pyre as a witness of his own dead body.
The concept of the park is to inspire mediators to contemplate and remember death and meditate upon it. After the park's inauguration, Swami Anand said that the park will help visitors to accept death as a natural phenomenon.
“Death has negative connotation. People are generally scared of death. I hope this park can help people accept death naturally,” he said.
