Firing in Manigram, one injured

BUTWAL, May 17: An unidentified gang on Wednesday evening opened fire on a man at Manigram in Rupandehi district.


Worker Ramkesh Dhawal of Marchabar was critically injured in the firing.


He has received a bullet in his backbone. Injured Dhawal was rushed to Bhairahawa Medical College for treatment after preliminary treatment at Crimson Hospital based in Manigram.

According to DSP Dilli Narayan Pandey, two motorcycle-borne men opened fire on Dhawan and fled the scene. The incident took place around 8 pm yesterday.


The motorcycle had an Indian No. plate.


Police said they have started a search operation to nab the culprits.
