Property worth Rs 7 million was gutted after fire destroyed sugarcane planted on 30 bighas of land at Ramnagar, said police.
The fire, started from the farm of Dasharath Mahato, destroyed sugarcane planted by 60 farmers, including Rambilas Mahato, Tirtharaj Dhimal, Sanjay Regmi and Ramhari Regmi, according to Police Inspector at the Area Police Office, Gaushala, Machhindra Babu KC.
The fire was doused after two hours with the help of fire engine belonging to Everest Sugar Mill. RSS
