Fire guts property worth Rs 10 m in Pokhara

POKHARA, March 26: Property worth over Rs 10 million has been reduced to ashes in the fire that broke out at BIP Farmhouse in New Road of Pokhara on Thursday morning.

According to police, the fire has destroyed Pretty Color Lab and three motorcycles.


Gopal Adhikari, the owner of BIP Farm House, said, "When I woke up this morning I saw my shop on fire. Then I rushed to take my wife and daughter out of the house. However I could not save the other materials."

A squad from the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and locals contained the fire in an hour, informed Kaski District Police Chief Hari Bahadur Pal.

Two other people are said to be injured while dousing the fire.
