BENI (Myagdi), Dec 21: A fire at Pipalbot of Arthunge in Beni Municipality - 8 on Tuesday gutted properties worth four million rupees.
The fire destroyed a two-storey house made of mud brick belonging to Samma Prasad Poudel and a cowshed next door, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Bishworaj Khadka said.
The fire was taken under control by the police and the locals. The fire destroyed Rs 50,000 in cash, seven tolas of gold (81.6466266 grams), food commodities, clothes, mobile sets and other cash and kinds worth Rs 4 million, police said.
A preliminary investigation has indicated electrical short-circuit as the cause of the fire. The victims have called for support after their house and cowsheds were gutted by the fire. RSS
