Fire breaks out at cotton factory

KALAIYA, Nov 5: A fire broke out at a cotton factory in Kalaiya – 6 from electrical short circuit at 2 am today. 

The fire gutted properties worth Rs 2.5 million, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Rajendra Babu Regmi, of District Police Office (DPO). The fire was taken under control by fire engines dispatched from Kalaiya and Birgunj along with Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and locals. 

In another incident, a fire broke out at Bachhu Pandit's house at Khobaba VDC in Bara, police said. The fire destroyed properties including food and clothes worth Rs 35,000. RSS
