Finance Minister Poudel directs bodies concerned to put maximum efforts to control revenue leakage

KATHMANDU, Dec 29: The Central Revenue Leakage Control Committee (CRLCC) has directed the bodies concerned to put maximum efforts to control revenue leakage.

 KATHMANDU, Dec 29: The Central Revenue Leakage Control Committee (CRLCC) has directed the bodies concerned to put maximum efforts to control revenue leakage.


A meeting of the CRLCC held on Wednesday in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel and Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane held discussion regarding the present condition of revenue collection and controlling revenue leakage. 


Spokesperson of the Finance Ministry, Ananda Kafle, said discussion was held to tackle the challenges seen in revenue collection and possible actions that can be taken to control smuggling.

On the occasion, Finance Minister Poudel asked all the bodies to put maximum efforts to control all types of revenue leakage. Minister Poudel assured that the government is ready to provide all types of support required to control revenue leakage.


Similarly, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Lamichhane said the home administration would actively work to control revenue leakage taking place in the checkpoints.


Directing the employees to work with high-morale without any political pressure and influence, Home Minister Lamichhane asked chiefs of all security bodies to work with determination in order to stop illegal trade activities. 


Governor of the Nepal Rastra Bank, the Finance Secretary, the Home Secretary, chiefs of security bodies, the Director-General of Inland Revenue Department, among others were present in the meeting.
