“All the preparations have been completed and everyone should put in efforts to make this a grand success,” stated NBBFA President Rajesh Babu Shrestha at a press meet.
Earlier, Nepal had organized the second edition of SABBC in 2000. Sachit Pradhan (60 kg) and Hari Shrestha (70kg) had won gold in 2000 and 2001 respectively.
Likewise, Anjiv Shahi (2002), Dayaram Diwakar and Gyan Nayaran Maharjan (2008) bagged silver medals.
Meanwhile, a board meeting of Asian Body Body Building and Fitness Federation (ABBF) held on Friday decided to hold the upcoming edition of SABBC in Bhutan in June next year and also take initiatives to include body building in South Asian Games. The meeting has also decided to hold World Body Building Championship at Baranasi, India.
Meanwhile, World Body Building and Physique Sports Federation and ABBF General Secretary Paul Chau honored President Dr Ram Baran Yadav at his office as per the tradition of honoring head of the state of the host country.
The expected cost of the tournament is Rs 2.8 million.
