The Qatari had his life ban from football overturned in a sports court last week after being accused of trying to bribe voters during his challenge to Sepp Blatter last year.[break]
But FIFA´s new suspension follows an Asian Football Confederation audit alleging that Bin Hammam enriched himself and handed out hundreds of thousands of dollars to friends and relatives.
FIFA says its new independent prosecutor Michael Garcia wanted bin Hammam suspended to look into potential misconduct.
Bin Hammam is also suspended from his role as AFC President.
