Fiber breakage causes Ncell network disturbance in parts of western Nepal

KATHMANDU, Dec 8: Ncell has said that its network has experienced disturbance on Thursday due to multiple optical fiber links breakage in Butwal-Bardaghat and Damuali-Abhukhaireni areas as a result of ongoing road expansion works.

KATHMANDU, Dec 8: Ncell has said that its network has experienced disturbance on Thursday due to multiple optical fiber links breakage in Butwal-Bardaghat and Damuali-Abhukhaireni areas as a result of ongoing road expansion works.


The Ncell in a statement on Thursday said that its First Line Maintenance (FLM) team has already been working in the field to restore the network as soon as possible to resume voice, SMS and data services. “We express our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused by this unforeseen incident and our deep appreciation for your patience and understanding,” the company said in the statement.

The Ncell has urged all to be cautious towards the protection of telecommunications infrastructures crucial for keeping essential telecommunications services up and running. “We are thankful to our valued customers, business partners and all well-wishers for their trust and unfettered support.
