To promote the five-day event, local tourism entrepreneurs have started ‘Jaun Hai Pokhara’ campaign to attract people from all around the country to the scenic lake city. They are also promoting ‘Chaliye Pokhara’ campaign in India and ‘Pokhara Pure and Perfect’ campaign in the international market.
The festival will be organized in Basundhara Park lying on the bank of Fewa Lake.

Bharat Raj Parajuli, president of the association, said local hotels will offer 15 percent discount on accommodation and 10 percent discount on food during the event. Similarly, local restaurants are providing 10 percent discount on food.
The festival will have 55 stalls including 15 food stalls. According to the organizers, visitors will be able to taste food prepared by stars hotels at affordable price. Different cultural and entertainment programs will also be organized during the event. A Chinese cultural group is also performing in the event.
“We have already received confirmation from different Indian and Chinese group to participate in the festival,” added Parajuli.
The organizers are expecting around 100,000 tourists, including 40,000 Nepalis, in the festival. Last year, the festival had drawn 80,000 visitors.
