Vice President emphasizes on good governance in federalism

KATHMANDU, May 12: Vice-President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav underscored the need of good-governance for prosperity in federalism. 


 Unveiling a book on late leader Prem Krishna Pathak in a programme organized by Swapna Balika Publication in the capital on Friday, VP Yadav argued that the new generation of Nepal should learn a great deal from late leader Pathak.


The book 'Anek Ayamka Kranti Yoddha: Prem Krishna Pathak ' (A multi-faceted revolutionary hero: Prem Krishna Pathak) contains altogether 63 articles and write-ups penned by late leader Pathak. The book also has excerpts of Pathak's interview taken over different time periods.

There are also 43 articles written by various personalities on late Pathak.


While launching a book, Vice-President Yadav shed light on the contribution of late leader Pathak in various political and people movements from 2007 BS to 2046 BS.


He also lauded the role played by Pathak in establishment of democracy and contribution in epoch-making agendas such as federalism, republic system of governance, religious secularism, proportional representation and inclusiveness.


He reminisced Pathak as a person with heightened awareness and skilled advocacy prowess. According to the VP, late Pathak had also served as the President of Nepal Bar Association and significantly contributed to establishing the judiciary in the country.


On the occasion, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Ashok Kumar Rai talked highly about the contributions of late Pathak to the judiciary, literature and politics.
