Federal Parliament starts deliberations on report

KATHMANDU, May 28: A joint session of the federal parliament today began clause-wise deliberations on the draft report (with amendments) of the Business Operations Regulations of the Joint Committee of the Federal Parliament-2080 BS.

KATHMANDU, May 28: A joint session of the federal parliament today began clause-wise deliberations on the draft report (with amendments) of the Business Operations Regulations of the Joint Committee of the Federal Parliament-2080 BS.


Prior to that, Regulations Draft Committee President Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan proposed the meeting to begin clause-wise deliberations on the report and the proposal was accepted unanimously.

The House of Representatives on May 15 passed a proposal for constituting a draft committee. Devendra Paudel was the initiator of the proposal and Ishwori Devi Neupane and Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai seconded it. The proposal was brought with the objective of forming a committee to prepare the draft of the Business Operations Regulations of the Joint Committee of the Federal Parliament.


Sixteen members from the HoR were there in the Committee formed with the purpose of drafting the regulations. Similarly, the National Assembly on May 19 inducted three more members on its behalf in the committee giving it full shape.


The drafting committee had been given seven days to prepare the draft of the Federal Parliament Joint Committee (Business Operation) Regulations, 2075 BS to revise it so as to make it timely.
