Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli held talks with CPN-MC Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' at the former's residence in Balkot today. During the meeting that lasted for around 1.5 hours, matters relating to the unification between the two parties and the CPN-MC's participation in the government were discussed.

Kidney transplant sees remarkable success rate

The Martyr Dharmabhakta National Human Organ Transplant Centre, Bhaktapur has successfully undertaken transplant of over 400 kidneys. At a press conference organized here on Friday, Hospital's Executive Director Dr Pukar Chandra Shrestha informed that the Centre has so far successfully transplanted kidneys on 404 patients.

Pakistan court sentences child killer, rapist to death

A Pakistani anti-terrorism court on Saturday sentenced a suspected serial killer to death for the rape and murder of a seven-year-old girl, a prosecutor said. The girl’s murder ignited nationwide protests over allegations of government inaction, and a media campaign led to his arrest after years of him being on the loose.
