LAHAN, Siraha, Aug 18: Chairman of UCPN (Maoist), Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Saturday claimed that formation of Federal Democratic Republic Alliance (FDRA) is the outcome of failure to forge consensus among the political parties.

“We decided to move ahead by forming an alliance of progressive forces as the consensus could not be forged despite its utmost efforts,” Dahal remarked.[break]

He also argued that the battle from today onwards would be fought through the alliance.

Talking to journalists here in the district, Dahal also claimed formation of FDRA  has paved the way for Nepali Congress and CPN-UML to form a similar alliance.

On the occasion, Dahal  termed the resignation sought of caretaker government as illogical one.

He  also accused NC and UML of conspiring to capture the state power as they have been persistently demanding change of the guard in the government withholding the important tasks of constituent making process.
