SOLUKHUMBU, July 5: A father has murdered his own daughter in cold blood at Gudel VDC-9 in the district on Tuesday morning.
Thirty-year-old Shukhadhan Rai killed his eight-month-old daughter by slitting her throat with a sharp weapon.

Rai is on the run after dumping the head of the minor at an intersection near his house, according to local Bilash Rai.
The incident took place at 8 am today. A police team from the Area Police Office, Sotang has reached the incident site.
The villagers and the police are searching for the assailant, DSP Madhav Budhathoki told Republica Online.
According to Bilash Rai, Shukhadhan’s mental condition was not sound for that last few days. Rai had married the mother of the killed infant three months back as a second wife.
