It followed agreement between Nepal based Voyage Villa and FastBooking´s regional office, FastBooking Asia Pte. The company will represent Nepal and Bhutan.[break]
"FastBooking bridges customer and the hotel, increasing direct online bookings through the hotel´s own website which means less cost and higher savings," Rupesh Rokka, Project Consultant of Voyage Villa said.
FastBooking has been providing services to both independent as well as chain hotels. However, the focus is more towards independent properties as most chain hotels have their own Central Reservation System (CRS) and building such a system requires high investment and long period of research and development.
Rokka said when a hotel is listed in FastBooking there was no requirement of CRS as it improves the hotel´s website visibility. A CRS is a computerized system that stores and distributes information on inventory and rates of hotels, helping hoteliers to manage all their online marketing and sales from a single back office extranet provided by FastBooking.
A hotel within the FastBooking network is provided with a highly sophisticated booking engine placed directly on the hotel´s website, Voyage Villa said.
Rokka said that there are various enrollment models in FastBooking which entirely depends on the choice of hoteliers. "We provide customized quote based on size of the hotel and choice of the hoteliers, making it more comfortable for hotels," added he.
Any hotel based in Nepal with the minimum tariff of $ 50 and having 30 rooms can be associated with the company.
Rokka said, "We guarantee the hotel booking will see a remarkable growth in occupancy, revenues and profitability within a month of having been associated with us."
The training, technical installation of booking engine and customer support services on FastBooking products and services will be provided by the company´s Singapore Office.
At present only two hotels-Hotel Yak and Yeti and Hotel Annapurna are listed under FastBooking. Officials of the company said the number would increase after the establishment of the office in Nepal.
It also allows customers to choose from 32 different currencies and is available in 60 languages. More than 7,500 hotels of 91 countries are working with this online booking solution.
