Far-Western into semifinal

DHANGADHI, Jan 8: Home team Far-Western XI Sports Club has reached the semifinal of the ongoing Sudur Paschim Khaptad Gold Cup defeating Indian team Punjab XI 5-0 on Sunday. 

In the match played in Dhangadhi Stadium, Mani Ram Chaudhary netted a hat-trick for Far-Western while Prayaya Anjan and Sumit Debe scored one goal each . The home team went ahead in the game with Mani Ram's goal in the 14th minute. Sumit extended Far-Western's lead to 2-0 in the 38th minute while Mani Ram made it 3-0 just two minutes before the first half and completed his hat-trick in the 59th minute. Prayaya, scoring in the stoppage time of second half, saw Far-Western seal the comfortable 5-0 victory. Winning team's Mani Ram was named man-of-the-match. 

On Monday, Sankata Club will take on Jagadamba Lumbini Football Club in the first match while Sahara Club, Pokhara and Delhi United of India will vie in the second match at Dhangadhi Stadium.
