KATHMANDU, Jan 23: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has said export promotion is the priority of the government.
During his meeting with a delegation from the Federation of Export Entrepreneurs Nepal (FEEN) on Monday, Minister Poudel said that the government is positive about the demand to organize an international-level business fair in Nepal for the export promotion. He said that a decision will be taken after holding consultations with the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies.

In the meeting, the delegation led by FEEN President Ram Bahadur Gurung proposed the government to host a business fair of international-level in Nepal. Gurung said that hosting the event would help promote Nepali products in the international market.
The delegation insisted that the government was expected to take measures to find an international market for Nepal’s indigenous products, expand the market for Nepali goods and services and for convenience of exports.
The FEEN estimates that it costs around Rs 198 million to organize the international fair.
