The blast has caused major damage at the store room of the district police office and minor damage at the nearby building of Chambers of Commerce. However, no human casualties were reported.[break]
The incident occurred at around 11 pm last night. According to SP Kedar Rijal, Kaski district police chief, the explosive materials stored at the office went off which were recovered from different places during conflict era.
A Nepal Army´s bomb disposal team of Kalibhanjan battalion has cordoned the site for investigation. According to Rijal, NA squad is inspecting the site to prevent the further explosion.
