Similarly, the chairman of the Nepal Law Commission, Madhav Paudel, declined to suggest anything to the committee stating that he was a member of the council of the ministers which had decided to appoint Karki to the post of CIAA chief. "It will be against my sense of norms and morality to suggest anything about the impeachment motion to this committee because I was also a member of the constitutional council while had decided to recommend Karki for CIAA chief," lawmaker Bhandari quoted Paudel as saying to the committee. Paudel had headed Information and Communications and Education ministries in the interim government led by Khilaraj Regmi.

Likewise, outgoing secretary at the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Tek Prasad Dhungana also refused to give suggestions on the impeachment motion. "I am not an appropriate person to make any suggestion on this issue as I have just received the appointment letter as a High Court judge," said Dhungana at the meeting.

After the two experts declined to give their suggestions, the Impeachment Recommendation Committee has decided to invite acting law secretary Sanjib Gautam and vice chairman of the Law Commission Bhesh Raj Sharma to the committee on Wednesday, informed another member of the committee Ram Narayan Bidari.
