KHOTANG, Aug 28: Pregnant women have been deprived of a prenatal womb test after the only x-ray machine at the District Hospital Khotang broke down.
The x-ray machine broke down after high voltage electricity passage one and a half months ago, Hospital's senior doctor Ram Bahadur KC said.
"The x-ray machine cannot be repaired in Nepal," he said, adding, "We have been appealing to the department and the donours for a new x-ray machine."
The expectant mothers are forced to take risk by waiting for the month of delivery after the breakdown of the only video x-ray machine here.
The District Hospital established in 2048 BS does not have adequate human resources and physical infrastructure forcing hundreds of patients to seek treatment outside of the district. RSS
