KATHMANDU, May 18: Back on track with my armload of fresh releases that has hit the blue shelves of Hits FM 91.2’s library, here I share with you updates on new releases from the international music scene. So off to work!

Is it just me, or is Kelly Rowland really becoming a favorite of today’s DJs? First, it was David Guetta for the smash “When Love Takes Over” and now Italian disc spinner Alex Gaudino has chosen the American singer for “What A Feeling”- his latest single to be taken off his new set, “Magnificent.” Believe me, it’s just the thing for some serious dancing mood.[break]

However, it’s not to be confused with Irene Cara’s 1983 hit of the same title. Rowland has also co-written the track and livens up the beats with her stunning vocals.

It’s not even been that long since the release of Jennifer Lopez’s new single, “On The Floor” and JLo has already hit us with another hot track! Following the success of her team-up with Pitbull, Mrs. Marc Anthony has now chosen rapper Lil Wayne for the collaboration “I’m Into You.” It’s definitely a buzz creator.

One suggestion though: Just make sure you don’t melt with her hotness.

The Script’s current album, “Science & Faith”, has given us so many hits that it’s now time for the set to come up with its title track. Needless to say, the single is another beautiful piece, courtesy the Irish trio who claims always to make songs that provide a solution.

They believe in not giving problems to someone if you can’t hand them a solution. At the end of the day, The Script is all about healing people, and you can certainly relate to what they’re saying in “Science & Faith.”

In the recent Nicki Minaj news, the rapper revealed that she will not be collaborating with any other artists for the next two years except for maybe Britney Spears.

Everybody’s seeking out for the “Toxic” hit-maker these days, and I’m happy for the princess of pop. Speaking about the singer, Minaj said, “Yes, she’s cute. We might do something.” Yeah, sure… and I hope the two gals whip up some good music for us.

In other e-buzz, hip hop’s latest queen bee has taken over The Big Pink’s original song “Dominoes.” Now retitled “Girls Fall Like Dominoes,” the single is featured in her debut album “Pink Friday” and is highly recommended if you dig mash-ups of indie-rock and hip hop.

It’s not new for Taylor Swift to write songs about her experiences. However, she once admitted that in spite of success, she wouldn’t reveal who she’s written about. It’s the same with her latest single, “The Story of Us.” It’s allegedly about the time when she met one of her ex-s at an award show, and the awkward moment that followed. Apparently, she got a tune out of the incident and will probably manage to make it big. So I guess the story ended well for the young singer.

If you recall the 2003 hit, “Right Thurr”, then Chingy needs no introduction. And the man behind the fun hip hop smash single has returned to the scene once again.

Chingy’s upcoming sixth studio album, “No Risk No Reward”, looks eager to materialize any time this year and it carries an awesome single you’re sure to fall in love with. “Superhero” is what it’s called, and the upbeat song is unarguably ideal for boys trying to woo girls. Check out the lyrics and you’ll know what I’m talking about.

If you thought there could never be a band as compared to Black Eyed Peas, then prepare to change your mind. Far East Movement has immense potential to meet BEP’s musical standards as well as their attitude.

“So What?” is the new single by the Like A G6 hit makers pulled off their debut effort, “Free Wired.” It’s another piece of club-friendly and catchy electro hop, and there’s more music of such types that you can expect from this American group of Asian origin.

It was the 1990s when the music industry boomed with boy and girl bands.

Considering the current releases, the trend is making a strong comeback. Apart from some new names, some of the older groups have managed to reunite and reappear for better.

Enter the scene two of the most successful boy bands to emerge from the United States of America. Without a doubt, those are New Kids On The Block and Backstreet Boys who have combined their talents and are now called “NKOTBSB”! It’s an absolute treat for those who were teens in the ‘90s as the mashed-up outfit offer the single, “Don’t Turn Out The Lights.” Despite the title, the future looks quite bright for the boys and the song.
