Ex CA members gather for CA reinstatement

KATHMANDU, Oct. 11: A gathering of some two-third members of the dissolved Constituent Assembly here on Thursday concluded that reinstatement of the CA was the only best alternative to resolve the current national crisis.



At the gathering held at the CA building at New Baneswar, leaders and ex-CA members representing some 18 parties said fresh elections was not possible without amendment in the constitution, and so reinstatement was essential for it.



Issuing a five-point declaration, the gathering also urged the senior leaders of the parties to take the conclusion seriously.



Former Deputy Speaker Purna Kumar Subedi, NC´s Shovakar Parajuli, UCPN (Maoist)´s Janardan Sharma, NC leader Gopal Man Shrestha, UML´s Bhim Acharya, UCPN (Maoist) spokesperson Pampha Bhusal, leader of Socialist Democratic Janta Dal, Prem Bahadur Singh and ex-CA members Rijman Ansari, Jip Tsering Lama, Pasang Sherpa, Kalpana Rana, Raghav Bir Joshi, Biswendra Paswan, Mahesh Yadav, Ram Naresh Raya and others said reinstatement of the CA was inevitable.
