KATHMANDU May 8: The Gurkha Satyagraha Joint Struggle Committee has submitted an 11-point charter of demands before the British government, saying the situation was congenial in which its logical demands would be met. 

The committee organised a news conference here today to inform about its demands. Among the demands put forth by the committee include the amount that is given the British Gurkhas as pension facility should be provided through Nepal Rastra Bank in Pound Sterling and not through Indian bank and providing the children above 18 years of age of the dependent family members of the British Gurkhas residential without any precondition. 

Committee coordinator Krishna Kumar Rai presented the demands to Birendra Sharma, a Labour Party MP. 
Responding a Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS)' question, the British MP said the British government was positive on addressing the problems of the ex-British Gurkha soldiers. He added that he would consistently work to take this issue to a logical conclusion. 

He said it was his responsibility as a lawmaker from the opposition party to press the ruling side to address the problem of the ex-British Gurkha servicemen and that he was with the struggle of the former British Gurkhas.
