KATHMANDU, May 25: Minister for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation Deepak Khadka has directed officials of subordinate agencies under the Ministry to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
During a meeting held on Saturday, Minister Khadka expressed concern over growing public dissatisfaction with delays in government services. He instructed officials to respond to citizens' requests within three days of receipt, emphasizing the importance of accountability.

“The Ministry's subordinate institutions have failed to make significant progress. A system of reward and punishment must be introduced to achieve desired outcomes,” said Minister Khadka.
He also directed the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology to enhance public access to its information system, particularly as the monsoon season approaches.
