Energy Development Council established

KATHMANDU, Nov 16: The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has established an Energy Development Council (EDC) with a view to providing policy feedback to the Government of Nepal in energy related issues from the private sectors.



The council was established with the main objective of economic development by encouraging the investors from the private sector for the development of energy sector at a time when the nation is passing through energy crisis, informed the CNI.[break]



The organization will provide necessary information on energy related areas, create investment friendly environment and make policy recommendations to the government, said Director General of the CNI, Meghnath Neupane.
