KATHMANDU, Jan 15: An emergency meeting of the Council of Ministers has started in the official residence of the Prime Minister in Baluwatar.


After the plane crash of Yeti Airlines in Pokhara this morning, the Prime Minister called an emergency meeting of the Council of Ministers.

It is said that the accident will be discussed in the meeting and the necessary rescue and relief will be decided.


Before the Cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane reached the control room at Tribhuvan Airport and took information about the rescue situation after the plane crash.


A Yeti Airlines flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara met with an accident just before landing in Pokhara. The plane flying from Kathmandu to Pokhara crashed near the old airport during landing.
