KATHMANDU, May 5: Eleven North Korean nationals, who were working illegally in Kathmandu, have been arrested from Durbar Marg today.
A team of Nepal Police deployed from Metropolitan Police Crime Divison, Teku arrested eleven North Korean nationals including 10 women and a man, informed SSP Dhiraj Pratap Singh.
According to the SSP Singh, they entered Nepal on tourist visa and have been operating a Korean Restaurant at Durbar Marg without permission since four years. They will be handed to the Department of Immigration on Sunday, Said SSP Singh.
Singh added, "They were illegally operating the restaurant in Nepal. They are also suspected to have been involved in drugs smuggling, organized crime, and others illegal activities."
