According to District Security Committee, Dang 11 FPTP candidates of the UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and CPN-UML have received security personnel as of today. [break]
Those receiving security personnel are Parbati DC Chaudhary, Shusila Chaudhary, Raju Khanal, Buddhi Ram Bhandary and Dipak Giri of the Nepali Congress. Likewise, Rewati Raman Sharma, Shanta Chaudhary, Laxman Acharya, Shankar Pokharel and Uttar Kumar Wali have also received security personnel from CPN-UML while receiving security personnel from CPN (Maoist) is Dhiraj Sherpaili.
All the candidates from constituency No 1 to 5 of Nepali Congress and CPN-UML have got security personnel while only one UCPN (Maoist) candidate has got security personnel, according to District Administration Office, Dang.
All the remaining candidates of the UCPN (Maoist) candidates will also get personal security soon.
Each candidate has been provided a policeman equipped with a pistol who will keep vigil round the clock for the security of the candidate, said Dang Chief District Officer, Ravi Lal Panth.
The DSC has provided personal security staff to the candidates to beef up the security for the candidates following the recent gruesome gun attack at UML candidate Mohammad Alam in Bara.
