KATHMANDU, Aug 17: A wild elephant lost its life after becoming trapped in a safety tank located in Kanchanpur.
The lifeless body of the elephant was discovered within the safety tank of a restroom in Shuklaphanta Municipality-7 Kalapani. This restroom is directly connected to Shuklaphanta National Park.
Kishore Kumar Mehta, the head of Shuklaphanta National Park, confirmed that the elephant was indeed found deceased within the confines of the safety tank.
Mehta further stated that efforts are underway to extract the deceased elephant from the safety tank. Following the completion of an autopsy, proper cremation procedures will be carried out.
