KAWASOTI, Feb 10: State Minister for Commerce Subarna Jwarachan has claimed that the local body elections will take place before the Nepali month of Jestha.
The State Minister made the remark after inaugurating the Madhyabindu Festival, which took off on Thursday at Chomar of Nawalparasi.
Stating that the local level elections had not taken place for a long time, State Minister Jwarachan said the incumbent government was focused on holding the elections under any circumstances.
He said the development of villages also called for the presence of people's representatives. He said there were no alternatives to taking the country forward towards elections as absence of representatives could bring additional problems. RSS
