TAPLEJUNG, March 31: The assistant staff to be deployed during the upcoming local level election have to reach the polling stations at least three days before the election.
According to the Local Level Election (Manpower Management) Directive 2022 issued by the Election Commission, the Election Officers have to send the designated assistant staff to the polling stations at least three days before the election.

The directive also states that the polling officers should make arrangements for the transportation of ballot papers and other necessary materials from the office of the Chief Election Officer with necessary security arrangements. In this process, the local administration will provide security and the first task of coordination will be given to the election officer of the area concerned.
There is an arrangement for the polling officers to bring the assistant staff of the polling stations to the office of the Chief Election Officer and take them to the polling stations to assist in the transportation of election related materials.
Similarly, the directive states that the office of the Chief Election Officer should provide daily and travel allowance to the assistant staff. According to the directive, those who are not Nepali citizens will not be allowed to be deployed and used in any election work.
