Inaugurating a gathering of party workers from the Kathmandu Constituency No. 5 here on Saturday, Thapa stressed the need for announcing a fresh election as quickly as possible. [break]"People´s rights can be established only through election," he added.
The major political parties did not want to go for fresh people´s mandate as they feared that they might have lost people´s trust and confidence, said the RPP Chairman.
"Election is just a show piece of the UCPN ( Maoist)," he said and accused the Nepali Congress and the CPN (UML) of planning to impose totalitarianism in the country in the name of democracy.
Thapa further said the upcoming election will be a battle between pro-federalists and non- federalists.
Expressing dissent over an increasing meddling from the ´Indian side´, leader Thapa demanded that the government should protest such trend.
Other party leaders speaking on the occasion demanded the formation of a new government with the participation of all parties so as to ensure fair election.
