Maya Thapa, 56, was found dead with her throat slit with a sharp weapon. According to the police, the unidentified assailants also made off with her jewels.
The incident took place while she was alone in her newly built house.
“The assailants must have entered the house when there was no power supply,” said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Radhika Khadka, chief of Metropolitan Police Circle Thimi.
