Elderly man dies in motorcycle-hit in Jorpati

Police have detained the motorcycle driver, Jitendra Shrestha, 44, a resident of Banepa Municipality-6 of Kavre. Investigation against him is underway.

KATHMANDU, Dec 15: A 70-year-old man has died in a motorcycle accident at Nalinchok, Jorpati, in Bhaktapur along the Araniko Highway.


According to police, Nim Bahadur Magar, a resident of Nalinchok, Ramechhap Doramba Rural Municipality-4, died when a motorcycle (Ba 46 Pa 1127), which was going from Jagati to Sanga, hit him.

Dhundi Raj Neupane, information officer of the District Police Range, Bhaktapur, said that Magar was rushed to Madhyapur Hospital, Bhaktapur for treatment. However, he died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
