KATHMANDU, Nov 14: Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has awarded its top travel partners in Nepal at the UAE Ambassador's Residence in Kathmandu. According to a statement issued on Tuesday, the awards were presented to 10 agencies in four categories -- Best Travel Agency of the Year, Best Premium Sales, Best GDS Practice and Best Abu Dhabi Selling Agent.

The top five Super Sellers were also awarded on the occasion for their continued excellence, the airline said in the statement. More than 50 travel partners from 30 leading local travel companies, along with a number of Etihad top frequent flyers, attended the ceremony, it added. Etihad operates a next-generation fleet of over 110 modern Boeing and Airbus aircraft, flying to 84 passenger and cargo destinations. Over the span of 15 years, Etihad Airways has operated over 840,000 passenger flights and has carried 139 million guests globally, served by a dedicated workforce of over 22,000 talented individuals hailing from over 150 countries, according to the statement.
