KATHMANDU, Feb 13: At least eight people were killed in a jeep accident that occurred in Palpa on Tuesday evening.
DSP Subarna Shrestha at the District Police Office, Palpa, informed that eight people died in the jeep accident in Tinau rural municipality-6 of the district. "Eight bodies have been recovered," he told Republica.

DSP Shrestha said that a team including the chief of the District Police Office, Palpa has left for the incident site.
The ill-fated jeep with registration number Lu 1 Ja 2371 was on its way to Chidish from Dumre via the Siddharth Highway when the accident occurred. The identities of the dead and injured have not been revealed yet.
