LALITPUR, Dec. 7: Speaker of House of Representatives (HoR) Devraj Ghimire has said that major challenges of the society could be resolved if the education sector was handled in a proper way.
Addressing the 16th Annual General Meeting of a cooperative organization relating to teachers' welfare in Lalitpur on Saturday, Speaker Ghimire said the teachers have a crucial role in leading the society on the basis of knowledge and consciousness they share in a society.

“Teachers are the leading figures to raise awareness in the society and they have a crucial role in societal development,” he said, “Teachers have made significant contributions to social transformation.”
He, however, said that much progress has not taken place in the education sector in Nepal due to political division and called the teachers for their unity for transformation.
On the occasion, Speaker Ghimire praised the cooperative for its outstanding performance in collecting capital for the welfare of the teachers.
