KATHMANDU, Oct 11: Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Giriraj Mani Pokharel has been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Pokharel, who was admitted to Patan Hospital on Saturday evening after developing mild fever, tested positive for the virus on Sunday afternoon during a PCR test.

His health is stable, according to a member of the minister’s secretariat.
He is the second minister in the KP-Oli led Cabinet to have contracted the virus. Earlier, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Yogesh Bhattarai was also diagnosed with the viral infection on Saturday afternoon.
