The fair is expected to provide a favorable atmosphere for educational and training institutions with different pavilions including the IT, polytechnics, computer schools, abroad study consultancies, and training institutions.
The event, according to the organizers, has taken a step outside the capital keeping in mind the huge number of ECAN members operating there and the large number students who have to come all the way to Kathmandu to get acquainted with information related to higher education.
Ramesh Pandey, secretary of ECAN, said that it was important to have the fair in cities outside Kathmandu to help the students in preparing themselves to go abroad from these cities.
“We want to make it easier for students to make their decisions on higher education without having to come to Kathmandu for counseling,” he said. He further stressed on the fact that the career fair had not only provides counseling on getting admissions in foreign universities but also in national colleges.
The response of participants for the Narayanghat has been overwhelming said Ramesh Thapa, the event manager. “The response has been very positive from Narayanghat.
There are 30 stalls from Kathmandu itself who will be participating,” he informed. The event will see a large number of colleges from the city and also neighboring cities like Butwal and Hetauda. “We are expecting colleges as well as students from these cities,” he added.
The time and the overall theme of the exhibition will remain the same as the Kathmandu and Pokhara event. The exhibition in Narayanghat is expected to draw at least 10,000 participants.
