Under the programme, representatives of the Office would visit every house to collect voters´ list and to make corrections on the voters´ list collected earlier.
Ward Citizens´ Forums formed at the Ward Offices would also be mobilized for the same, it is learnt.[break]
The Office is going to collect voters´ list with photographs of permanent and temporary residents who are eligible for voting at all the VDCs in Kathmandu district as well as every Ward in Kirtipur Municipality, saying the date of new election could be fixed at any time through political consensus.
The door-to-door programme will be started from March 14 to April 12, said the Office.
Chief at the Office, Shambhu Prasad Chalise, said that a total of 14 teams would be assigned to collect new voters´ list with photograph and update the old one at all the 57 VDCs, Kathmandu Metropolitan City and at all the Wards of the Kirtipur Municipality.
The Office so far has send voters´ list with photograph of more than 150,000 people residing here on a temporary basis to the districts concerned.
Voters' list rises in Mugu
